Halász Péter is an applied linguist, English teacher and lyricist. However all of his professions are related to English, he never prepared for any of them consciously.
He struggled with language learning for a long time, and however he acquired English easier than German, several language exam failures led to where he is now. He never memorized words easily, he learned them for vocabulary tests, but then he forgot them soon. That is why he always tries to invent new techniques which make learning vocabulary easier for his own students.
Using sign language for learning and memorizing vocabulary is a great method, because new words can be acquired in a playful way, and as we know if we learn something with pleasure it is more permanent.
