Unique surgical, traumatology training on the threshold of NATO certification processAn international group of civilian and military physicians and surgical assistants participated in the "Advanced Surgical Skills for Exposure in Trauma" (ASSET) surgical training course based on US trauma and battlefield lessons learned at the Department of Pathology, Forensic and Insurance Medicine, Semmelweis University in Budapest on 16 and 17 April. The aim of the course is to teach participants techniques for the professional exploration and treatment of serious, life-threatening injuries, with a special focus on trauma in war or disaster situations.
